Ingredients
Potatos - 4
Onion -2
Tomatoes -4
Garlic -3 cloves
Ginger -1 piece ( small )
Green chillies -1
Chilli powder - 1tbs
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Cumin powder -1 tsp
Garam Masala -1/4 tsp
Oil -2 tbsp
Turmeric powder
Salt needed
For seasoning
Cumin seeds - 1tsp
METHOD
Pressure cook potatoes and peel its skin. Cut it into small squares. Heat oil and fry potatoes for 5-6 minutes.
Grind onion, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, green chillies, to a fine paste. ( you can add cashewnuts too, it will give rich taste and flavour to the gravy).
Heat a tbsp of oil in a pan, add cumin seeds.When it splutters, add the grinded paste, turmeric powder, chillie powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala and salt. Cook well till the raw smell goes. Then add fried potatoes necessary water and allow to cook in low flame for 5 to 8'minutes.
Garnish the gravy with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with roti, briyani, pulav .
