This is a good side dish for chappathi, Nan, parrota varieties. My friend requested me post someside dish  recipes for chappathi without using coconut and much oil. This suits best. My kids too love it very much. Many don't like smell of meal maker. If u follow the tips correctly, you won't get that smell. Taste also will be nice. So try this and comment

Ingredients

Onion -  2
Tomato - 4
Ginger - 1 small piece
Garlic - 5
Chilli powder - 2 tsp ( varies according to individual taste, can decrease or increase)
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Soya chunks - one and half cup
Cashew nut -  6 pieces ( optional)
Coriander leaves to garnish
Sat and water as required

For seasoning

Cloves - 2
Cinnamon - 1 small piece
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Bay leaves - 1 small pinch
Oil - 1 tsp

Method

Put meal maker in hot water for half an hour, then filter it and immediately put in cold water and squeeze out all water well so that smell of soya chunks goes away. Cut it into two and keep aside.

Soak cashewnuts in hot water for 15 minutes. Grind to paste in a mixie and keep aside.

Prepare tomato puree. Boil water and put tomatoes in it. When it is cooked, take out from the stove, remove it from hot water and immediately put it in cold water, so that I won't be over cooked. Then remove the skin and seeds and grind it in mixie to make purée.

Make paste of ginger and garlic.

Chop onions finely and keep aside.

Now put kadai in stove, put oil, when it is heated, put all ingredient mentioned under seasoning one by one, fry for some time, then add onion and fry till it turns in to pink. Then add tomato purée, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and fry well till raw smell of powder goes. Then add soya chunks and add enough water and allow to cook. When Soya blends well with mix, add the cashewnuts paste and sauté well for few minutes and switch off the flame. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot with chappathi or rice.
