Vendakkai Rice

Already I shared with you recipe for Vendakkai fried rice. This is another method for making Vendakkai rice. 


Method

Cook rice and cool it. Cut Vendakkai in to long pieces and make slits in top, if it small, just you can cut top and bottom and split in the middle and add as it is....in a pan add oil, fry this vendakkai little, then add little salt, thick tamarind paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder,garam masala and sauté everything well keeping flame in medium till Vendakkai absorbs all and cooked well....keep this aside... Place a pan in fire, add oil, season with mustard seeds, urad dhal, fennel seeds, channa dhal, red chillies, curry leaves and sauté everything well, then add onion, sauté till it turns pink, then to this add rice, Vendakkai mix, salt and mix everything well....
