Ingredients
Rice - 1 cup
Thoor dhal - 1/2 cup
Small onion - 1/2 cup
Garlic -10 pods
Pepper - 1 tsp
Fenugreek seeds - 2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 11/2 tsp
Red chillies - 5 to 8
Curry leaves - 10
Oil and salt as needed
Method
Soak fenugreek seeds in water overnight.
Add oil in the pan, add garlic, sauté till it turns little brown. Add onion and sauté for one minute.
Then add curry leaves, cumin seeds, peppers red chilles and mix everything....when everything turns light brown colour, add 5 cups of water and salt. When water begins to boil, add, rice, dhal and soaked fenugreek seeds. Mix everything well and pressure cook for three whistles and serve hot.
