Murungakeerai Soup

Good morning friends with today's special recipe murunga keerai soup ( Drumstick leaves)... Already I shared with you recipe for Murungakkai soup... This is also more or less equal to the same as Murungakkai soup.... Very easy to make and at the same time very healthy.... When you serve hot, even kids too will drink it well.... You can drink this or have with rice also.... Murungakkarai has lot of medicinal values and hence can have this in our diet frequently.

Ingredients

Murungakeerai - 1 cup
Tomatoes - 2
Onion - 2
Split gram dhal ( pasi paruppu) - 2 tsp
( just to give bit thickness to soup, can avoid it too, can use dhal water too.)
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Ghee - 1 tsp
Lemon - 1
Salt - as needed

Method

To the pressure pan add one cup of murungakeerai, two tomatoes, two onion, ginger garlic paste, 2 tsp split gram dhal, one green chillie( optional), 2 cups of water, salt, turmeric powder and pressure cook for three whistles....when it is cooled down, extract stalk alone... To this extract, you can just add lemon juice, pepper and drink....otherwise, in a pan add one tsp butter, add cumin seeds when it splutter, add the extract, when it begins to boil, switch off the flame, add lemon juice , pepper powder, serve hot.
