Fried gram sambar

it is one of the easiest and quickest way of making sambar.... When any guest came to our home, we can finish preparing this sambar in 10 minutes....tastier too... We can have this sambar as a side dish for any South Indian breakfast.... In the busy morning it is easy for the working ladies to prepare this sambar 


Ingredients

To roast and grind

Red chillies - 6
Coriander seeds - 2 tsp 
Fried gram - 3 tbs
Big Onion - 1 or small onions - 10
Tomato - 1
Oil - 1/2 tsp

For sambar 

Big onion - 1 or small onion - 10
Tomato - 1
Coriander leaves - for decoration 

For seasoning

Ghee 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dhal - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp 
Fenugreek seeds -1/4 tsp
Hing powder - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves - few

Method

In a pan fry all the items mentioned under 'roast and grind'... Then grind it when it is cooled down..

In a pan add ghee and season with items mentioned under seasoning... Then add onion saute well, then add tomatoe and saute well... Then add grinded paste, saute well... Add needed water to smoke it to sambar consistency... When it is boiled well, switch off the flame... Decorate with coriander leaves and serve hot with idly or dosa or Pongal.
