Beetroot Poriyal

This is one of the very few sides dishes which my kids love very much... Usually it is a big task to make my kids eat vegetables, but when i prepare beetroot in this way, my kids will finish it up in no minutes. Very simple to make. So please try and give your feed back.


Ingredients

Grated beetroot - 1 cup
Onion - 1 
Red Chilli powder - 1 tbs
Curry leaves - Few
Shredded Coconut - 1 tsp
Salt as needed
Oil  - 1tbs

Method

In a pan add oil, then add onion ( can season with mustard seeds, but it is optional)... Saute well, then add curry leaves, saute, then add beetroot and saute well in medium flane for few minutes, when t is cooked, add salt and red chilli powder saute till its raw smell goes.. lastly add coconut scraps and switch off the flame.

This goes well with any rice... Today i prepared as side dish for more kulambu.
