Maida burfi

Yesterday when i returned from office, everyone appreciated the yesterday's sweet rava coconut ladoo and especially my brother told tasted very nice but asked me for holi special sweet why there is no colour in the sweet.... I replied am in hurry to getting my son ready for exam, and myself to office, so no time to think anyother dish... But my kids begin to press me to make something immediate colourful for holi... Night i was so tired back from office, due to their pressing, i prepared maida burfi with colour... But since all family stood around me and eagerly waiting to pluck it even when am cooking, i have no other way than making it sooo quick without any patience,,, infact, i finished it in 7 minutes and by 10 th miute handed over to them... Everyone loved it too.... Already many have given recipe... So anyone if needs, i will add recipe... Since prepared quickly, have no patience to make perfect shapes.... But tasted sooo great....

Ingredients

Madia - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 1/4 to 1/2 cup
Vanilla flavour - 1 drop
Colour ( optional)

Method

In a pan add ghee and saute maida ( better use after sieve) till itraw smell goes, even while sauting, add colour at last and switch of the flame...prepare sugar syrup, add water and vanilla essence to the sugar and allow to boil till you reach on string consistency... Then pour the sugar syrub to the maida and keep stirring continuously , this should be done without flame... When you keep in stirring, mix will get thick and begin to leave sides, at this time, transfer this content to the greased plate and cut into shapes you like and serve...

A very simple easy recipe which all kids will love....
