Wheat flour burfi

Rarely i take long leave for office. So i utilise the chance to make kids happy when they return home. chances like this i never have in my life. Now in home for my son's plus two exams and feel happy to be just home maker for some days. Feels happy to see faces of kids when they return from school and keep some tiffin ready for them to munch. Hence today i made little twist in the Gujarati famous Gol Pappadi. Same recipe, but i have added coconut , seasame seeds and less ghee. Tasted good. Please try and give your comments.

Ingredients

Wheat flour - 1 cup
jaggery - 3/4 cup
Milk - 4 tbs
Coconut Scraps - 1/4 cup
Seasame seeds - 2 tsp ( white)
Ghee - 2 tbs

Method

Powder jaggery and keep ready.

In a pan add ghee. Roast wheat flour in it for 5 minutes, till it completely roasted well and colour changes. At this stage add jaggery, coconut scraps, seasame seeds and mix well, till jaggery melts and mixes with flour. It will take three minutes. Now add milk, mix well and switch of off the flame.

Spread this mix in a greased tray. After two minutes cut it into shapes you like.

If you add more ghee you will get exact texture of Gol Pappadi.
