Potato Farls

Good morning friends

today's special breakfast of our home , 

Potato Farls.... Commonly called as Irish's eye... 

Main food of irish people and healthy food for kids...

Very easy and very simple... I got this recipe from irish cook book and i modified it to our taste... I will add recipe soon... Since it is difficult to make kids to eat vegetables like bottle gourd, i mix bottle gourd with this recipe and gave to them.... They had this dish happily without knowing it has bottle gourd. So try it and give your comments


Ingredients

Potatoes - 6
BOttle gourd - 1 medium size
Maida or white flour -  4 tbs ( increase or decrease as per need)
Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper - 2 tsp ( increase or decrease as per your taste )
Salt - as needed
Butter - 1 tbs

Preparation

Cook Potatoes and mash them well. To the mashed potatoes add , butter, grated bottle gourd, salt, maida, baking powder, pepper and salt and mix everything well.... Knead to soft dough. Take a big portion of dough and roll in to round shape with 6 to 8 inches thick. Usually it is used to cut into four while serving. But i made into small to pack for kids lunch boxes.  Cook it in dosa tawa, smearing butter all around and cook on both side.


Serve hot with tomato ketch up.
