GulGulae

First i didnt prepare any special snacks for my daughter since i had some mixture and biscuits in home, so thought of managing with it... But my daughter immediately after coming home, asked me what is snacks today, but she become upset knowing that i didnt prepare anything in home...  Seeing that i went to kitchen asking her to eat biscuits and told i will back with after making milk for her.... I went to kitchen and thought of preparing something quick.... So this North Indian famous, very easiest recipe came to my mind, immediately prepared it within ten minutes for her.... It is called GulGulae.....

Now serving  and  enjoying snacks with her, immediately blogging it for you all.... :-)



Ingredients

Wheat flour - 1 cup
Jaggery - 1/2 cup ( can add more, if you want more sweet, may substitute sugar)
Poppy seeds - 1 tsp
Cardamon powder - 1 tsp
Baking powder - 1/2 tsp ( i didnt used today. But to get better result can use this)
Salt and water - as needed.

Method

First add water to the jaggery such that water level is just above the jaggery... When jaggery is completely dissolved in water, filter it.

Now mix all the ingredients together and beat well.... Leave it for 15 minutes.. But i prepared immediate since daughter waited for it. So if you leave the flour for some times, result will be still more better. Now deep fry them in oil. 

Since i want to prepare quick, i deep fried it.... If you want to avoid oil, can prepare this in non stick kuzhi paniyaram tawa....those who have oven can bake it...

Just to add colour to it, i just rolled this in sugar and served. You can roll it in sugar powder and serve.

Very simple and tasty evening snacks for kids.
