Being vinayagar chathurthi yesterday, that too everyone in family ate lots of kolukkattais ( actually from morning 6 to afternoon 11, I prepared kolukkattais alone, that much I need, for family, relatives, neighbours,).... So till night kolukattai went inside without any restrictions... So today I want to make simple at the same time healthy dish that easily digest yesterday's heavy intake.... Though holiday for has, hubby needs to go, so prepared in morning itself.... So today's recipe is Milagu kulambu with vazhakkai podimas...Lets us see recipe for milagu kulambu.. Very easy to make as I didn't add onion or garlic... But you can prepare this same dish by adding onion and garlic too.... This is a medical kulambu which has so many health benefits, like helps in digestion, prevents cancer, help us to reduce weight, removes toxins from our body, good for cold and cough....etc etc etc......

For seasoning

Sesame oil - as needed
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dhal - 1 tsp
Dry red chillies - 2
Hing powder - 1 / 2 tsp
Curry leaves - 1/2 cup

In a pan add oil and season with items mentioned under seasoning. Then add tamarind extract, turmeric powder, salt and allow to boil. When it is boiling well, add the dry roasted and powdered items. When everything mixed well and become thick switch off the flame. After transferring it to the pan, just sprinkle sesame oil all around at the top. This will give special flavour to the kulambu.
