Vazhakkai Fry

Vazhakkai fry normally we make in home every week. There are several methods to prepare this fry. One among them is chettinad fry and recipe for the same is given below


Ingredients

Vazhakkai/Plaintain   1 ( thinly sliced in round shape)
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Onion   1
Dry red chillies   2 
curry leaves - Few
Curd     1 tbsp
Turmeric powder   1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder    2 tsp
Coriander powder   2 tsp
Pepper powder      2 tsp
Ginger   2" piece
Garlic   3 cloves
Gram Masala powder 1 tsp
Oil and salt as required

Method

Marinate the raw banana with all powders mentioned above, along with crushed ginger garlic, salt and curd. Can add lime juice too. Leave this for 20 minutes or more. 


One method is just you can fry them in dosa tawa by adding oil around them . Another method, in a Kadai add oil, season with mustard seeds, red chilies, then add curry leaves, onion and sauté well. Then add marinated mix and fry in medium flame till it become crispy...
