Bottle gourd gravy

One of the vegetable I like most is bottle gourd.... That too it goes best with chappathi... Can prepare many varieties of side dish using this vegetable...usually I prepare dhal using this surakkai... Today I tried gravy... Being working women, I always prepare or follow easy method of cooking... This too one among them... Can easily be prepared and goes well with chappathi...

 Ingredients

Bottle gourd - 1
Onion - 1
Tomato - 3
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
Oil, waster , salt as needed

Method

Chop the bottle gourd in the shape of semi ring... Cut in to halves lengthwise, remove seeds and skins in middle, then cut semi circular shape..

In a pan add oil, then add onion, sauté well...then add ginger garlic paste, sauté well, then add tomatoes sauté well... Cover the pan for few minutes... Cook till tomatoes blend well with onion.. 
Then add red chill powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, garam masala , sauté well for one minute, then add little water, allow to boil, till raw smell goes, then add bottle gourd, salt, needed water and pressure cook for three whistles. When pressure resides, open the lid, add tomato ketch up....mix well... Serve hot with chappathi....
