Pav bhaji

Pav Bhaji is my kids favourite dish...Being Sunday I prepared this and gave to them... They enjoyed this very much... Home made pav bhaji is good for health too since it is combination of all vegetables.. You can use combination of any vegetables... I used carrot, green peas, potato and capsicum.. But you can try this recipe with any vegetables of your choice.....


Ingredients


For pav

Pav - 10
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Pav bhaji masala powder - 2 tbs
Butter - 3 tbs
Coriander leaves - few nicely chopped


For bhaji

Potato - 4
Green peas - 1 cup
Capsicum - 1 big
Carrot - 3
( can use beans, cauliflower etc too)
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Green  chillies - 2
Red chilli powder - 1 tbs
Pav bhaji masala - 1 tbs
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Butter - 1 tbs
Salt - as needed
Tomatoes - 4

For seasoning 

Onion - 2
Red chilli powder - 1tsp
Pav bhaji masala - 1 tsp
Fenugreek leaves - 1 tsp
Hing powder - 1 
Lemon - 1
Coriander leaves - few

For decoration

Nicely chopped onion - 2
Coriander leaves

Method

Pressure cook potatoes, carrot, green peas together .... Then mash them, keep aside....

In pan add chopped capsicum and then add little water, to make them soft... Then add tomatoes and sauté well, the add ginger garlic paste, green chillies, sauté well, then add red chillie powder, pav bhaji masala powder, turmeric powder, sauté well, then add mashed potatoes, carrot, green peas.. Add needed water... Allow to boil.....when it becomes thick, switch off flame, keep aside...

In a pan add butter, then add onion, sauté well, then add red chillie powder, pav bhaji masala powder, turmeric powder, crushed fenugreek leaves, coriander leaves, sauté well, switch off flame. Now add lemon extract and pour everything over the cooked bhaji and mix well for two to three minutes till everything blends well

Now in a dosa tawa, sprinkle little butter , then sprinkle red chilli powder, pav bhaji masala powder  and then place horizontally sliced pav over it and roast till it become soft, then turn to other side and roast for 1/2 minute and serve hot with bhaji...

Can place bhaji between pav and can serve...


While serving, granish bhaji with raw onion, coriander leaves and little butter which will enhance the taste more...
