Semolina Chat

Today's special breakfast of our home is semolina ( rava) chaat....

Actually this is one of the wonderful healthy evening snack item... But we used to take it for breakfast too... Such a nice spongy cake we will get, with when we dress up ,  will get nice chat item,,,

Recipe ..


Ingredients

Rava -  2 cups
Curd - 1 cup
Eno furit salt - 1 tsp
Capsicum - 1/2
Onion - 1
Coriander leaves - little
Green chillies - 2
Ginger - i inch
Carrot - 1
Salt - as needed
Ghee or oil - as needed
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - few

For garnishing

Green chutney 
Sweet chutney
Sev
Chat masala
Cumin powder
Red chilli powder
Carrot, onion,coriander leaves ( while adding to batter, take some from it and store for dressing)

Method

Soak two cups of rava in one cup of curd for 20 minutes.... Batter should be thick, when you feel batter to toooo thick, can add more curd.... Actually at the end we add eno fruit salt... Those who dont want to add it, may allow to ferment this batter for 6 to 7 hours and then can use it..

Mix nicely chopped capsicum, onions, coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger, grated carrot , salt to the batter.... Lastly add 1 tsp of eno fruit salt... Mix well..

Take a non stick pan, add ghee or oil, season with mustard seeds and curry leaves,  to this add one big spoon of batter and cover it, when it is cooked, flip over and cook other side... Like this prepare using remaining batter also...

Now dressing.... Place two or three cakes in a plate, spread curd all over it, then spread sweet chutney and green chutney over it.... Those who dont know to prepare or have no time to prepare it can add tomato sauce and green chilli sauce instead of it... Then above it sprinkle little carrot, onion, coriander leaves, sev ...above it sprinkle chat masala, cumin powder, red chilli powder and serve....
