Breakfast of our home.... Moong dhal chilla with coocnut podi and demerara sugar....
Since vacation startetd, I become bit lazy and always ended up in making idly for breakfast... So today i want to make something different and trided this dish,l,l,
Moong dhal chilla is Rajasthani special dish and very easy to make.. In many ways they prepare it, i love this chilla very much than others....
Ingredients
Split moong dhal - 2 cups
Green chillies - 5
Gigner - one inch piece
Garlic - 5 pods
Salt - as needed
Curry leaves, coriander leaves - few
Method
Just soak split moong dhal over night.... Next day grind it along with ginger, garlic, green chilies, consistency should be like idly batter.... To this you can add any vegetables of your chocie....Today i added grated carrot, cooked green peas.... Add salt, curry leaves, coriander leaves, mix well, prepare chilla, by pouring batter so as to form thick circle as we do for othappam.... Smear oil around it, when one side is cooked, turn it to other side and then remove from fire...
Serve with any chutney....
Today i had it with coconut podi and demerara sugar, mix of both give heavenly taste....
