Basmati rice -1 cup
Sweet corns - 1 cup
Onions - 2
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Green chillies - 1 or 2
Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Ghee and salt as needed
Cinamon stick - 1 small piece
Bay leave - one small pinch
Cloves - 1
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
Water - 2 1/2 cup
Method
Rinse the rice and soak in water for half an hour.
In a pan add ghee, season with cinamon stick, bay leaves, cloves, fennel seeds, then add nicely chopped onions, saute well, then add ginger garlic paste, green chillies, saute well, then add rice, baby corns, coriander powder , garam masala and saute till rice gets heat.... Add water, salt ... When water begin to boil, cover it with lid, allow to cook in sim flame, normally it takes 10 to 15 minutes. You can check in once by opening the lid. Then switch of the flame, allow it to stand for 10 minutes. Then open the lid and transfer it to the serving bowl to avoid further cooking. Today I used clay pot for cooking this rice, came out so well.
