Ammani kolukattai

Today I prepared ammani kolukattai also for vinayagar chathurthi....This is also another favourite kolukattai of our home and my daughter loves it so much...This I make frequently too...



Method

Ammani or beads kolukuttai recipe.... i prepared just using idiyappam flour in home, add boiled water to idiyappam flour along with salt, you can use special kolukkati flour, or can use rice flour (in that case, dry fry the rice flour and use), or soak raw rice for four hours, grind it, boil water (with salt and bit oil), add this grinded flour , stir continuously without forming lumps till all water evaporates and leaves sides... made small balls out of this..... steam this balls..... then in a kadai add oil , season it with mustard seeds, red chilies, green chilles, hing powder, curry leaves, then add steamed kolukkattai and coconut scraps to it... mix everything well.......normally for 1 cup of flour can add 2 to 21/2 cups of water...... my daughter loves this very much, i prepared this as per her wish today......she packed this alone for lunch.
